Previously called The Casa, the bar has been given a stylish makeover with the main emphasis on providing meals which can be enjoyed in a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. The Chaplin fonts, installed in groups of four, are more in keeping with the decor of the bars than any other design of font probably could be.
The decor throughout is modern and stylish with large cylindrical lighting and lampshades on the bar. The large windows to the front give a bright and airy feel to the place. The restaurant is at the rear of the bar with views overlooking the Tyne. The bar attracts a crowd on most nights due to its position on the Quayside but is a little quieter during the day. Regular music is on play at most times. No TVs to be seen anywhere. At the top end of the bar there is a seating area with low tables and chairs. The piano on the stage was previously owned by Jools Holland. There is plenty of seating throughout with high tables and chairs to the front overlooking the Swing Bridge.
